Aston Martin DB2/4 brake drums stripped and vapour blasted
Classic Aston Martin brake drums stripped, vapour blasted and prepared for reuse.
The starting point
Four Aston Martin DB2/4 brake drums came in still painted. They needed the old coating removed before vapour blasting could finish the surfaces properly and efficiently.
What VMC did
VMC used paint stripper first to remove the painted coating and speed up the process. The drums then went into the vapour blaster, where a mix of air, water and abrasive media gradually removed the remaining residue without damaging the surfaces.
Classic car brake component preparation
The brake drums were left looking clean and ready to be used again. This case is useful proof for classic car owners who need careful preparation on valuable brake and restoration components.
