A clear route from Lincoln enquiry to workshop booking

Send photographs before travelling so VMC can check the component, material, condition and likely preparation. Suitable work can include bare engine cases and covers, carburettor components, cylinder heads, gearbox casings, manifolds, brake parts and other restoration or engineering components.

Vapour blasting is generally selected where a controlled clean satin finish is wanted on suitable components. Dry abrasive blasting is assessed separately for robust steel or cast-iron parts requiring paint, rust or scale removal.

What to include

  • Overall photographs from several angles.
  • Close-ups of corrosion, coating or contamination.
  • Approximate dimensions and material if known.
  • The finish required and whether the part is fully stripped.

After assessment, Charlie confirms price, turnaround and an appointment for workshop drop-off where appropriate.
