Component assessment before anything is sent
Clear photographs allow VMC to assess suitability before a Newark-area customer travels to the Aubourn workshop. Typical enquiries include engine cases, motorcycle parts, carburettor bodies, automotive castings and suitable engineering components.
Vapour blasting is used for suitable parts where controlled cleaning and a consistent satin appearance are required. Dry abrasive blasting is available separately for suitable robust steel and cast iron needing paint, rust or scale removal.
Drop-off and post-in
- Send photos, approximate size and material first.
- Wait for suitability, price and turnaround confirmation.
- Arrange workshop drop-off by appointment.
- Only post components where VMC has agreed the route in advance.
Components must be fully stripped and ready to blast, with anything that media could affect removed.
