Vapour blasting aluminium components
Controlled cleaning and satin finishing for suitable aluminium engine, restoration and engineering components after material, condition and geometry are assessed.
Suitability and preparation
What vapour blasting can—and cannot—do for aluminium
Vapour blasting can produce a clean, consistent satin appearance on suitable aluminium parts. Suitability depends on the alloy, condition, internal passages, sealing faces, threads and other sensitive features.
The process does not repair pitting, cracks, corrosion damage or lost metal. It should not be treated as proof that a part is structurally sound or ready to fit. Parts must arrive fully stripped, with bearings, seals, bushes and anything vulnerable to fine media removed.
Send photos before preparing a booking
- Show the complete component and all sides.
- Include close-ups of oxidation, paint, pitting and sensitive areas.
- Add approximate dimensions and material/alloy if known.
- Explain the required finish and later coating plans.
